No one has been named to succeed Dr. Jody Hershey in the New River Health District. Longtime New River Health District Director Dr. Jody Hershey announced this week he is leaving the agency, saying a family health crisis requires his immediate attention. “With a deep sense of loss, I am now retiring effective January 10, 2011,” he wrote in an e-mail to colleagues Wednesday.
